Bike Rides From Lehi Towns to Moab Towns

It was Spencer Jewel Friend, Miss Amy Lady, Lance with the Brown Eyes, ElliWHAT!, and myself. We wandered our way toward Highway 6, stopping that first night for a hot spring dip. We were in for stormy weather, and our sleeping bags were soaked. Then it was up and over the summit. Me and my single speed, Rosie, and our ten speed crew.

The down hill makes it all worth it. Night number two we were spoiled by a friend Stanley who lives in Price. He greeted us with a glass of wine, and beds for sleeping. In the morning we sat around in the garden listening to stories and learning all those magic gardening tricks.

Next we were on our way to Green River. We slept on the shore that night, never mind that it was right next to the truck stop.

From Green River to Moab, the last of our days. Miss Amy Lady with three flats. Desert Bulls ready to charge. Dirt road short cuts not worth riding on. I-70 brings the detour. Hills that never end, a mirage promising the top. Knees crumbling, and that hot hot heat.

And all at once it was downhill into town!

We slept next to the Colorado that night. Under the spell of giant cottonwood trees and the flow of that river river.

It must be desert magic. The loves yo!

There Were Those Winter Months...
